Tater Tot Nachos

These crispy taters and cheese had us at hello. Who can resist the crispy exterior of a tator tot topped off with gooey delicious cheese ? Certainly not us! There are so many amazing recipes to enjoy the fluffy goodness of tots, however today I am going to show you how to turn basic tater tots into decadent and crave worthy Totchos aka Tator Tot Nachos! Whether you are having friends for brunch, hosting a party or need an afternoon appetizer that everyone will love, these Totchos are perfect for any occasion! My family literally can’t keep their hands off these delicious Tochos!

These are perfect one pan appetizer or snack which is completely customizable. Think of your favorite nacho ingredients. The ultimate nacho plate. What’s on it? Whatever your preference is, take those toppings and throw them on tater tots instead of tortilla chips. You 100% don’t have to follow my ingredient list, just follow the method with the ingredients you love the most and you will be good to go! Hope you all enjoy these as much as we do!

Ingredients

1 bag prepared tater tots

1 large tomato, finely chopped

1 medium onion, finely chopped

1-2 jalapeno, sliced

2 cups of shredded mix cheese

1 medium avocado, chopped

Other toppings – corn, sour cream, cilantro, black beans

Garnishing – cilantro

Method

Preheat oven to 425. Arrange taters in a single layer on cast iron skillet or on baking sheet. Bake until golden brown and heated through, this process takes approximately 20 minutes. Remove from oven and top it off with cheese and bake until melted. Remove from oven and top them with the toppings (onion, tomato, avocado, jalapeno) as desired. Garnish your Totchos with cilantro. Serve immediately!
